Local officers in Thurrock received a report on Saturday (January 24) of two men trying to steal a moped from Lakeside. ‌Officers quickly found the suspects riding away on another moped. The suspects fled the scene, failing to stop, driving dangerously and sprayed a fire extinguisher at the chasing officers, Essex Police said. An Essex Police Thurrock spokesperson said: "Both have been bailed while CCTV and forensic enquiries continue and the stolen moped was recovered.
