Wydad Casablanca is preparing for the biggest paycheck in its history as they take on the world’s best football team in the new 2025 FIFA Club World Cup next summer in the United States. The 32-team competition would guarantee Wydad three matches in the group stage – against Manchester City, Juventus, and Al-Ain. A single win is worth $2 million, while a draw could see them bag $1 million. So, unlike previous competitions, FIFA won’t be pocketing a penny – all revenues will be distributed straight into club football. “All revenues will be distributed to club football, nor will it touch FIFA’s reserves, which are set aside for global football development through the 211 FIFA Member Associations.”
