BLOOMFIELD HILLS – Birmingham Groves dictated tempo from the start and raced to an 80-39 victory over Bloomfield Hills in a battle for first place in the Oakland Activities Association White Division. Both teams came into the game unbeaten in league play. Groves came in waves, pressed all night, and generally filled the stat sheet every which way. When they could break the press or get a defensive stop or two, Bloomfield Hills was very competitive. “I felt that we threw the ball away three times in the first half, and they scored three threes,” Black Hawks head coach Renardo Brown said.
