New Yorkers can turn in their firearms for cash cards in Jamaica, Queens, this Saturday, Jan. 31, through Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz’s gun buyback program. The office is offering up to $500 per weapon. “Our upcoming gun buyback event will take place on January 31, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Mount Olivet Baptist Church on Hollis Avenue in Jamaica. Our office has hosted close to a dozen such programs in partnership with the NYPD, our faith-based leaders, local public officials, and residents.
