Grand Duke Guillaume on Wednesday swore in Françoise Jaminet as the new head of HR and finance of the Maison du Grand-Duc, the administrative arm of the royal household. She then worked at the Chamber of Commerce before spending 15 years with Luxembourg’s financial sector watchdog CSSF, where she last served as head of HR and finance. Within the Maison du Grand-Duc, she will be reporting to Sasha Baillie, the maréchale de la cour who oversees the Maison du Grand-Duc, similar to the role of the lord chamberlain in the UK. The “Maison” was established after a 2020 review of the royal household commissioned by the government following reports of mismanagement and staff bullying. The 2026 budget lists expenses worth €26 million for the Maison du Grand-Duc, with more than half of that spent on staff.
