A woman pretended to sleep while a university student subjected her to an hour-long sexual assault in St Andrews. Juiyi Chen has been ordered to pay £1,000 compensation for committing attacks on his victim in October and November 2025. Dundee Sheriff Court was told how Chinese national Chen met the woman online before handing her a letter seeking a romantic relationship. “The complainer agreed but set boundaries with physical contact,” Mr Chalmers told the court. He previously pled guilty to two charges of sexual assault at his home in St Andrews between October and November last year.
