The hospice chaplain emailed the Diocese of Norwich in 2023 and warned “some ‘paranormal’ incidents” had been “really upsetting staff”. In another email to the diocese sent days later it was confirmed the hospice was in talks with an exorcist. The guidance ordered deliverance ministers to consult with “medical practitioners, psychologists and psychiatrists” before getting involved in exorcism cases.
