Peter Leven must be part of the next Aberdeen manager’s backroom staff. Dons sporting director Lutz Pfannenstiel has spoken of his desire to have someone with knowledge of Scottish football in the dugout. It is no coincidence to me that bringing more players who know what Scottish football is all about has had a positive impact. I’ve no doubt the knowledge and understanding of Scottish football has helped the team, and can also rub off on others too. At Aberdeen you have to win games both at Pittodrie and on the road, and the Dons have struggled to get to grips with that all season.
