ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – An 18-year-old who calls himself “Mafioso” is facing multiple charges, including robbery and shooting from a vehicle, after police linked him to crimes through social media. Ronald Acosta, who goes by “Mafioso,” was scheduled to appear in court, but the hearing was delayed due to his multiple charges. Late last month, police say Acosta forced another teen to hand over his phone, using it to send texts and post a video of a drive-by shooting on social media. Earlier this month, Acosta was accused of robbing a man at gunpoint, though the victim managed to escape. KOB 4 found Acosta’s public TikTok account, which shows him displaying guns and featuring a drive-by shooting, though it is not the same one police mentioned.
