Pinson Valley has tapped Pike Road offensive coordinator and former John Carroll head coach Logan Colafrancesco as its sixth head football coach in the past eight years. Colafrancesco also served two stints as an assistant coach at Pinson Valley, including as offensive coordinator for Mac Glover. Thompson had replaced Gentrell Eatman, who went 4-6 in one season as head coach. He traces his football coaching roots to now-Samford University head coach John Grass and former Hoover coach Rush Propst. “I will be the third or fourth head coach for our seniors,” he said.
