Duane Charles “Bud” Getz, age 93, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on January 23th at Primrose Retirement Community in Mansfield, Ohio.
Born on April 10, 1932, Bud graduated from Mansfield Senior High School and later served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War.
His life stands as a testimony to faithful service, Christian character, and unwavering hope in God’s promises,He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Hermine Getz, his wife Martha “Jeanne” Getz, his brother David Getz, and his sister Luella Freund.
He is survived by his sister Mary Lou Zeug, and brother Tom Getz; his three sons and their families, Timothy and Alison Getz of Dublin, Ohio, Bradley and Ana Getz of Dublin, Ohio and Jonathon and Jenny Getz of Avon Connecticut; his grandchildren, Ryan Getz, Holly Leonard, Cristina Getz, Sydney Phillips, Tyler Getz, Sierra Getz, Nathan Getz, Alden Getz, and Jared Getz; and his great-grandchildren, Charles and Graham Leonard, and Oliver and Milo Phillips.
