Las Cruces police are continuing to investigate a four-vehicle crash that resulted in critical injuries to two pedestrians and non-life-threatening injuries to five motorists. The crash occurred shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026, at the intersection of Lohman Avenue and Walton Boulevard. The two pedestrians, men ages 40 and 48, suffered critical injuries and were transported to Mountainview Regional Medical Center. A Las Cruces police service aide and Las Cruces firefighters played integral roles during the incident. A portion of eastbound Lohman Avenue, from Walnut Street to Walton Boulevard, was temporarily closed while first responders completed their work and cleared the scene.
