Based on Australian mythology, a Drop Bear is a tongue-in-cheek bush legend — a fearsome cousin of the koala said to drop from trees onto unsuspecting tourists. During the one-hour activation window from 12pm to 1pm on Saturday, January 31st, 2026, beachgoers at Coogee Beach, Sydney, will have the chance to receive a Drop Bear delivery just by scanning a QR code. This activation puts Kodiak into real summer conditions —when it’s hot, crowded and drinks don’t stay cool for long, and it lets people experience how well our products perform firsthand.
