MINERAL WELLS – The No. 8 Brownwood Lady Lions showed no ill effects from their first loss since Dec. 4, and a seven-day weather layoff, as they started the second half of District 6-4A action by sweeping the Mineral Wells Lady Rams, 51-17, Thursday. “We’ve gotten used to some changes to the schedule in district with games getting moved,” said Lady Lions head coach Heather Hohertz. The Lady Lions also pulled down 28 rebounds, recorded 12 steals and coughed up only eight turnovers. The Lady Lions are back in action at 5:45 p.m. Friday as they host Glen Rose (18-13, 3-2) in a rematch of Brownwood’s 35-27 road victory on Jan. 13.
