In high school wrestling action on Wednesday evening, Downingtown East nipped Ches-Mont rival Avon Grove 32-31. Karsten Hodge (285 pounds) got a pin in the final bout to give the Cougars (4-0 National Division, 10-1 overall) the win at East. The Cougars can win the Ches-Mont National Division title, outright, with a win over Downingtown West next Wednesday. If West wins and Avon Grove defeats West ChesterEast, there would be a three-way tie for the division title. Coatesville got decision wins by Kaleb Saah (152) and Christian Kurzeja (160) and a major decision from Rami Ayoub (215).
