The project has been in the making since July 2024, when work began on the £88 million 'state-of-the-art' school just off Admiralty Road in Rosyth. Caledonia High, built to replace Inverkeithing High, is due for completion in June and to open in August, and will have the capacity to accommodate 1735 pupils, over three floors, with an open 'see and be seen' approach throughout the school. In recent weeks, staff and pupils from Inverkeithing High and catchment primary schools have paid visits to oversee the work, with many pupils admiring the "modern" and "giant" layout. A statement from Fife Council said: "Yet another milestone has been marked on the way to the new Caledonia High School, opening its doors to pupils and staff in August this year. "The new school is eagerly anticipated by pupils and staff and will bring many benefits."
