It will now be known as Big Country Redux, the additional word meaning “revived/restored”. Founding member Bruce Watson said it "reflects the music and its enduring impact", with this year marking the 25th anniversary of frontman Stuart Adamson’s death. In a post he explained: “Stuart’s words, music, and presence were at the very heart of Big Country. “Big Country Redux allows us to acknowledge that, while still performing the music we created as Big Country. An upcoming album including songs written by Stuart, and co-written with him, Bruce, and original bass player Tony Butler, will also be released under the name Big Country Redux.
