Jeff Tate, Tyler McCaughn and Rep. Billy Adam Calvert on Thursday, led presentation of Senate Resolution 25, to the Lamar School Raiders Football Team and Head Coach Jacob Land for winning the MAIS 4A Division III State Championship by defeating Brookhaven Academy 34-17 on Nov. 22. It was the Meridian team’s seventh state championship and its first title since 2018.
