The St Vincent government has announced an expansion program and remedial work for the Argyle International Airport. Prime Minister Friday during his address on the budget estimates mentioned that the facility needs “enlargement” to accommodate development and increased traffic. In addition to infrastructure, the Prime Minister noted an investment in human resources for regulatory oversight. Under the Ministry of Tourism, the government allocated a position for one training officer for the Civil Aviation Department. The Prime Minister stated that while this is a single position, it is expected to assist the ministry in the critical work of promoting and developing the tourism sector.
