Scammers are demanding that residents pay money for missed jury duty days or face jail time.
Grant County Jury Coordinator Lilly Foster said she’s heard of one such case involving a man from Grant County who received a phone call demanding $8,000 for missed jury duty days if he wanted to avoid jail time.
Evans advised anyone receiving a call or note demanding money for missed jury duty to hang up and call their court directly.
