Spread the loveAIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) alleged that Tamil Nadu has become unsafe for women and girls under the ruling DMK government, renewing criticism of the state administration’s handling of law and order and women’s safety ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections.
His comments came during a public address in Tamil Nadu’s capital, where he highlighted recent criminal incidents and called for stronger governance.
Addressing party workers and media, EPS said that women in the state are living with fear due to what he termed a deteriorating security situation under Chief Minister M.K.
“Tamil Nadu has become an unsafe state for women,” he said, pointing to high‑profile crime cases and accusing the government of failing to ensure adequate protection for women in public spaces, educational institutions and workplaces.
He urged the electorate to support political change in the upcoming polls, claiming that only a government committed to security and law enforcement can guarantee safety for women and families.
