Los Angeles Dodgers utility player Tommy Edman had surgery on his right ankle following the team’s World Series victory over the Toronto Blue Jays.
He had battled the injury through much of the 2025 MLB season and waited until the season concluded to address it.
Edman spent two separate stints on the injured list with a sprained right ankle, the second beginning in August.
Nonetheless, with spring training approaching, Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman shared an update on the player during his Jan. 29 appearance on Dodgers Territory.
