Southampton are said to be keen to sign a striker of their own. However, reports that Boro have made a bid for the striker are, at this stage, wide of the mark. ‌Armstrong was offered to Boro last January too, with Southampton looking to offload in order to bring in an alternative option, as they battled against relegation.
