The "Reducing the Strength" scheme has been running since September last year and 11 retailers volunteered to stop selling beer, lager and cider over 6.5% alcohol content.
It was aimed at reducing alcohol-related anti-social behaviour and promoting public health, said licensing officer Elliott Beevers.
Mr Beevers said: "Publicly reported anti-social behaviour is at its lowest during the financial year, as well as officer-generated anti-social behaviour and publicly and officer-reported crime incidents.
Furthermore, publicly reported alcohol incidents is down massively, which may show a direct effect of Reducing The Strength, reducing the availability of high-strength drinks."
We will be looking to identify hotspots where street drinking may be linked to anti-social behaviour.
