Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi had talks with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Monday where Pakistan's stance on T20 World Cup 2026 participation was reviewed. The meeting happened after Pakistan expressed its strong displeasure with ICC on how the international body handled Bangladesh's situation. Days after Naqvi termed the discussion as "constructive" and now the further information of the meeting has surfaced. Whether it withdrawal from World Cup or opting out of Group A, Pakistan is actively involved in multiple discussions. “The PCB has already made travel arrangements for the World Cup squad to depart early morning on February 2 for Colombo,” sources close to the board told PTI.
