Northwest ISD families can start planning next school year — and the year after that. Trustees unanimously approved the district’s 2026-27 and 2027-28 instructional calendars at their Jan. 12 board meeting, locking in the first and last days of school, major holiday breaks and several student holidays that double as teacher work and planning days. Both calendars closely resemble the district’s current academic calendar, district officials said, and include teacher planning days and student holidays in October and February.
