FRANKLIN FURNACE — No doubt, it’s been “Knapp” time —Jon Knapp time —to be specific in the “The Furnace” for four years. That’s because Green High School senior Jon Knapp has been a multi-sport star for three years into four now, with his best sport — baseball —saved for last in every spring. Knapp was flanked by his parents Dave and Melissa Knapp; sisters Anna Knapp and Abbie Knapp; Green High School head baseball coach Dave Shoupe; Green High School Co-Athletic Director Jarod Shaw; University of Rio Grande head baseball coach Brad Warnimont and several Bobcat teammates and friends. I can relax and go hard this last high school season. Knapp also holds down part-time employment and takes postsecondary college courses, and has been accepted into the Allied Health program at Rio Grande.
