In a significant push toward regional skill development, an awareness and registration drive for the Pradhan Mantri National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (PM-NAPS) was conducted at Jubilee Memorial College (JMC), Mokokchung on January 29, 2026. Addressing the gathering, additional deputy commissioner, Mokokchung, Atsungba Walling highlighted the urgency of skill development in an era defined by automation and globalisation. Key Highlights of the Programme were, registration drive: state coordinator Pravin Yadav, for the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), led a technical session on registering establishments and students on the official Apprenticeship Portal, employment insights: joint director, DOESDE, Er. The programme commenced with an invocation by Counsellor Yimnayanger and a welcome address by principal of Government ITI, Mokokchung Er. The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by principal of Government ITI, Kohima Er.
