Nagaland’s lone Lok Sabha MP, Supongmeren Jamir, has strongly urged the Government of India to resolve the long-pending Naga political issue at the earliest. He reminded the Centre of its commitments to the Naga people through two historic agreements: 2015 Framework Agreement with NSCN (I-M) and 2017 Agreed Position with the 7 NNPGs. He said the two these agreements raised immense hope among Nagas for a lasting political solution. Yet, more groups have emerged under the Naga political banner, reflecting growing frustration over prolonged delays. The time has come for the Government of India to translate its commitments and agreements into a final political settlement without further delay.”
