Giza partners with Polar Hydro on $4.2b green waste management project

The agreement aims to implement a solid waste management and treatment project in Shabramant, Giza.
Awad added that the project forms part of the government’s efforts to establish an effective waste management system through recycling, treatment, and safe disposal, within the framework of the integrated solid waste management system.
She stressed the importance of completing waste management projects nationwide to achieve tangible improvements in cleanliness services and maximise waste utilisation under the circular economy model.
He noted that the project will upgrade solid waste management through the use of advanced technologies and expanded recycling.
The project aims to process 30 million tonnes of accumulated waste into high-value export products, including biofuels, fertilisers, and synthetic graphite.
