Lunser was the last witness called by the prosecution in the manslaughter trial of Leblanc, a 67-year-old long-distance truck driver from Quebec.
Lunser said his forensic examination of a tablet found in LeBlanc’s semi showed that at 8:24:24 p.m., LeBlanc opened APKPure, a multi-platform app store that provides extensive app-related content.
Dash cam video shows that at 8:27 p.m., LeBlanc plowed into the back of a Honda while traveling at about 59 miles per hour.
Prosecutors say that LeBlanc was on his tablet and not paying attention to the road at the time of the crash.
Less than one minute after the Honda went by the semi, LeBlanc slammed into it, Markle said.
