On Thursday, Todd Archer, who covers the Dallas Cowboys for ESPN, reported that Livingston was one of three coaches with in-person interviews Thursday for positions with the Cowboys. Livingston, 40, has spent the past two seasons as the defensive coordinator at CU, hired almost exactly two years ago by Buffs head coach Deion Sanders. Prior to coming to CU, Livingston worked for 12 years with the NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals, including eight as a secondary coach. In 2024, Livingston turned around the Buffs’ defense, led by several seniors. The majority of those players graduated or transferred after 2024, however, leaving Livingston and the Buffs to rebuild.
