Old Dominion women’s basketball commanded Sun Belt Conference foe Lousiana Monroe 85-62 during superhero night at Chartway Arena on Wednesday evening. ODU entered the game with a 12-9 record, 4-5 in the SBC following consecutive road losses to Arkansas State and Texas State. Their Wednesday night loss marks the third consecutive game that the Warhawks have lost, after coming up short against James Madison and Marshall last week. Mays-Prince and teammate Marcavia Shavers would knock down shots of their own to try and lower the deficit, though Monarch Simone Cunningham responded with two consecutive points in the paint. The Warhawks would only score three more points before the Monarchs came away with an 85-62 victory.
