MEDORA, N.D. — To kick off their Spring Concert Series at Old Town Hall Theater, the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation hosted “Close to You: The Music of the Carpenters” as their first show of 2026. “Close to You” debuted in Chicago in 2010, and for the past 16 years, it has sold out shows across the United States, making it the longest running Carpenters tribute show in North American history. Drew Jansen, who played keys and vocals for "Close to You" in Medora this weekend. The Carpenters toured continuously throughout the 1970s, and the sibling duo has sold more than 100 million records worldwide.
