Emergency services were called to Droitwich Spa High School on Briar Mill on Thursday afternoon (January 29) after students came into contact with a chemical that caused skin irritation. West Midlands Ambulance Service said paramedics were sent to the scene, where eight children were found with injuries that weren't believed to be serious. “We were called at around 1pm to an incident at Droitwich Spa High School," an ambulance service spokesperson said. A Droitwich Spa High School spokesperson said: "During a routine science practical, a small number of students came into contact with a chemical that caused minor skin irritation. "We would like to thank our staff and the emergency service staff for acting so swiftly in order to take all necessary precautions."
