Tiptree's Alexander Cleghorn goes into liquidation owing more than £4m
["Séamus O'Hanlon"]

Family business Alexander Cleghorn, in Newbridge Road, was established in 1958.
After coming under financial pressure, the company had begun a company voluntary arrangement (CVA) in November 2024.
This followed the government being notified in December 11 that Gary Cleghorn was no longer a person with significant control of the company.
"Recovery of these funds depends on the outcome of the liquidation process and the availability of assets for distribution among creditors.
"This approach is consistent with council policy and national insolvency procedures.”
