This was a superb talk about what life was like for the soldiers and their families during this awful time for so many. Frances covered the subject of what we would call post-traumatic stress disorder and compared several cases from World War 1. Some men returned home with no medical diagnosis if mental distress, but they and their families faced years of suffering. The group was pleased to welcome visitors from across the UK and one or two who zoom in regularly from overseas. The meeting is open to visitors who can request the link from the Group Chairman Tony Sinclair on winchester@hgsonline.org.uk.
