NEW PALTZ, N.Y. — Wallkill High’s boys and girls swept a nordic ski meet at Minnewaska State Park when New Paltz and Monticello were unable to field full teams on Wednesday, Jan. 28. Matei Jirka of New Paltz won the boys’ 7.5-kilometer race, with teammate Nathaniel Johnson finishing second. Wallkill’s Ryder Kilpatrick took third place. In the girls’ 7.5-kilometer race, Dylan Friedman of New Paltz won the race. She was followed by runner-up Baya Titus of Monticello and third-place finisher Tamara Brand of Wallkill.
