The Eagles’ offensive coordinator search could end with a shocking result. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Eagles may allow head coach Nick Sirianni to handle play calling if they don’t land an OC who is ready for that role. Sirianni gave up play calling during his first season with the Eagles in 2021 after struggling in that area, so handing the keys back over to him would be surprising and risky. In 2026, the Eagles will have their fifth new offensive coordinator under Sirianni — not an ideal situation. The Eagles fired Brian Johnson in 2023 and Kevin Patullo in 2025 after the offense struggled, but Sirianni deserves bares an equal amount of blame.
