Thousands of new homes to be built across Tendring as part of Local Plan

Tendring Council's Local Plan will guide future development up to 2042 and beyond.
Proposals focuses on long-term growth and identifies where new housing, employment land and mixed-use sites could be delivered across the district.
Councillor Carlo Guglielmi, chairman of Tendring Council's planning policy and Local Plan committee said: "The Local Plan is one of the most important documents the council has to produce.
The review proposes the delivery of approximately 7,400 new homes over the next 20 years, in addition to the 10,700 already in the pipeline.
Key proposals include major development at Harwich and Dovercourt, and new garden villages at Hare Green, Horsley Cross, and Weeley.
