ICE has described the operation as the largest immigration operation ever, deploying 3,000 agents to the land of 10,000 lakes. The Whipple federal building is a target for protestors because it is a command center for large-scale ICE immigration-enforcement efforts. Given that it is not located in a city, Hennepin County has jurisdiction for primary policing in the area. My goal for attending this most recent protest was to learn more about the people there.
