Emergency services were called to Roedean School in Roedean Way, Roedean, on Wednesday (January 28) at 6.30pm. It followed reports of concern for the welfare of a child, Sussex Police said. A spokesman for the force confirmed that officers attended and a 15-year-old girl, who was a pupil at the school, was declared deceased at the scene. The police spokesman said: "Enquiries are ongoing alongside the school, but there are not currently believed to be any suspicious circumstances." Roedean School has been contacted for comment.
