The Pittsburgh Steelers lost out on former Browns special teams coach Bubba Ventrone, who was set to interview with the team. He is reportedly going to join Sean McVay’s staff and become their special teams coach after not being retained by new Browns head coach Todd Monken. Ventrone started his coaching career under Bill Belichick in New England as a special teams assistant. This past year, the Browns were the worst special teams group in the NFL by many measures. Ventrone, 43, is a hot shot up-and-coming mind, but the Steelers have to find a new special teams coach after Danny Smith was hired by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
