The Pittsburgh Steelers are hiring Cowboys assistant Ramon Chinyoung as their new running backs coach after interviewing him, sources tell PennLive. Chinyoung was with the Cowboys for the last few seasons as their assistant offensive line coach, where he drew rave reviews, but he will now teach a new position in running backs. That means Steelers running backs coach Eddie Faulkner will not return to the team. All in all, it has the Steelers set up to become an experienced coaching staff, and one with a mix of connections from McCarthy’s stops in Green Bay and Dallas. The offensive coordinator hire will matter less, as McCarthy indicated during his opening press conference that he would be the play caller for the team’s offense.
