Lyndell Lowell "Swede" Nelson, age 81, of Cheyenne, WY, and formerly of Sidney, NE passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at a rehab facility in Fort Collins, CO, after suffered a significant stroke in early November 2025, his life ended too soon. Funeral Services for Swede will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Cheyenne, Wyoming, with Reverend Christian Basel officiating. He was born in the Army Hospital at Fort Francis E. Warren, just northwest of Cheyenne, WY. Following his dad's military and Dental School training, the family moved to Sidney, NE. Swede was a student in the Sidney school district and graduated Sidney High School in May 1962.
