Cherie Mae Cox, a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and faithful servant of God, passed away on January 18, 2026, surrounded by family. Cherie was born on July 3, 1965, in Dalton, Nebraska. She was the beloved daughter to Rich and Carol (Bayne) Hazlitt along with her three siblings, Nancy, Susie, and Richie. Cherie grew up in Sidney, Nebraska where she proudly won two state volleyball championships before graduating in 1983. Cherie was united in marriage with her beloved husband, Charlie Cox, on December 4, 1993, in Estes Park, Colorado.
