The job market has been rough over the past year, for workers, at least.
According to a new report, 50% of hiring managers are expecting employee turnover to CLIMB in 2026.
The average cost of an employee leaving has jumped to more than $45,200, which is up sharply from $36,700 last year.
64% of companies with 500 or more employees expect turnover to rise, while it’s less intense for smaller businesses.
The reasons for more turnover include: Increased workplace demands, a competitive job market, better pay and benefits offered elsewhere, and employees switching careers.
