Park officials are adding a children’s zipline and working with partners on a new skate park this year, according to Painesville Public Lands and Recreation Director Michelle LaPuma. Painesville park officials have worked with the Metroparks to find the area where the zipline would work best for the community. The first part of a new skate park that has been discussed in recent years may also be installed in the city this year. She said the city would replace the current skate park after the new skate park is built. It is also considering a potential new multi-use field at Recreation Park, though she said that would be contingent on grant funding.
