MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) - The Vermont House of Representatives passed a resolution on Thursday supporting the city of Minneapolis. The resolution, sponsored by two independent lawmakers, supports Vermont Gov. Phil Scott’s statement calling for a change in tactics from Immigration and Customs Enforcement, in the wake of last week’s deadly shooting by federal agents in Minneapolis. The measure also affirms residents’ civil rights to protest their government. The resolution passed the House 106-25.
