MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) - What voice should Vermont communities have in building new cell towers? Across the Green Mountains, there are numerous dead zones where calls drop, but there’s a new battle brewing at the Statehouse over who should be involved in approving new cell towers. From Marshfield to Westmore to Rochester, selectboards have challenged proposed cell towers, citing health concerns, aesthetics, and property values.
